An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated dietitian with excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for nutrition support, to join our innovative Prescribing & Medicines Optimisation team. This is an exciting new post for two part time, or one full time Band 5 Care Home Support Dietitian.
As an integral part of the Prescribing & Medicines Optimisation Team, the post holder will work under the guidance of the Specialist Prescribing Support Dietitian to support the delivery of optimal nutritional care in care homes across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The post holder will be involved in audit and the provision of training on nutritional screening (MUST), nutritional care plans, and a ‘Food First’ approach. They will work together with the medicines optimisation team, dietitians, and wider multi-disciplinary team, to target nutrition and hydration within care homes. This post will help support ongoing work on the cost-effective and appropriate prescribing of oral nutritional supplements (ONS).

Two part time posts are available:
Full time 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours per week), 12 months FTC would be considered for the right applicant.
The ability to travel is essential.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
